Carrier Commercial Refrigeration Unveils its Vision for a Cool Future at EuroShop 2020

Carrier Commercial Refrigeration will unveil its vision for a “cool” future at EuroShop 2020, the world’s largest trade fair for food retail investors, featuring sustainable and innovation-driven refrigeration technology for commercial and warehouse applications. Carrier CommerciaRefrigeration is a part of Carrier, a leading global provider of innovative heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies.

At Carrier’s stand, in Hall 16, visitors can stroll into a “cool” future, through a sustainable urban park enjoying seamlessly connected “cool” spots such as live, in- store experiences, groundbreaking retail innovations, and warehouse applications.

As a long-proven pioneer in refrigeration equipment, with an innovative and customer-centric approach, we believe the best way to showcase our know-how is to do it live,” said Guillaume Burvingt, marketing director, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration.

When entering the eco-designed convenience store, visitors will discover benefits for small-format stores, with customized cabinets and an in-shop eating area all in a 150 m² store.

The market will feature multi-deck freezers and dairy cabinets, transparent impulse counter islands and serve-over counters, featuring the QuietCO2OL integral unit, which quietly delivers continuous refrigeration to shop cabinets.

The stand’s supermarket area will include a fresh section, addressing energy efficiency, product performance and modularity through cutting-edge offerings, like the new BREEZtec air circulation system, which boasts energy savings and noise reduction. The Methos® refrigerated multi-decks and the EasyGo™ refrigerated self- service counter will also be featured, among others.

Visitors will experience a frozen section with Carrier’s new E6 Irios® freezer island, offering advanced product visibility and enhanced accessibility, and a gourmet section will display multi-level, multi-plexing (Danaos® and Medea®), and service-over / self service (VistaDuo) refrigeration systems. Additional freezer formats on display include Carrier’s new Virando and E6 Velando® 53 units.

The systems section will demonstrate Carrier’s recent carbon dioxide (CO2) technology developments, including the CO2OLtec® Evo, with CO2 natural refrigeration systems that are energy efficient in all climates and with up to 30% annual energy reduction, versus a standard transcritical system. The systems have raised the bar in high-efficiency performance for natural refrigeration systems. Since 2000, more than 13,000 CO2 units have been produced in Europe.

Carrier’s warehouse refrigeration “cool” spot will showcase its flagship PowerCO2OL system, with up to 1.5 megawatts per rack to suit a variety of large applications through high energy efficiency and use of CO2, in keeping with Carrier’s commitment to sustainability.

The system is installed at SNØ – Norway’s year-round indoor ski arena. Guests can take a virtual trip to Norway on Carrier’s stand via a ski-simulator with interactive games that highlight how Carrier’s industrial know-how applies to leisure activities.

Additionally, the service section booth will display Carrier’s new service platform, which provides retailers with the highest level of service in European commercial refrigeration. Guests will learn about Carrier’s energy management services, in partnership with EcoEnergy Insights, which analyze energy consumption data to design optimized solutions for retailers.

Carrier will offer a “cool forum” to share its vision of upcoming trends and initiate relevant co-developments that will shape the future of refrigeration.

Representing Carrier’s dealer activity, Celsior will host a dedicated dealer booth welcoming visitors interested in opening a Celsior dealership.

“EuroShop 2020 is a great opportunity to demonstrate how our latest high- performance, versatile refrigeration equipment helps to boost sales by optimizing product display, creating new sales opportunities and environments, while always reducing energy consumption and environmental footprint,” said Burvingt.
