AHRI, ASHRAE and the International Exposition Company made the reluctant – but necessary – decision to cancel the 2021 AHR Expo, originally scheduled for January and previously rescheduled for next March in Chicago. The inability of the show organizers to receive assurances from Illinois authorities that a large gathering would be allowed by that time and our own inability to ensure the safety of exhibitors and attendees forced the first-ever cancellation of the show.
Exhibitors who placed deposits for the 2021 show will have 30 days to decide whether to apply their deposits to the 2022 Las Vegas show or receive a refund. AHRI members and staff will be discussing in the coming weeks whether to hold virtual informational sessions that would have been held in-person in Chicago.
